I have built, run, and managed issue-based and electoral campaigns across multiple issues and developed programs for community engagement, advocacy, and policy departments. I love to work with individuals and organizations on:
- Setting a theory of change and goals that build for short and long term wins
- Designing plans and developing the tools needed to implement, track, and coordinate on those plans
- Managing campaigns or projects for organizations or coalitions
Facilitation & Coalitions
I have established and led state based and national coalitions across issue areas, facilitated planning and strategy setting retreats for individual teams and multi-organization coalitions, and have built and fostered communities of practice for state based advocates. I love to work on:
- Designing and facilitating effective meetings
- Building and managing coalitions
- Creating and fostering communities of practice
Advising & Coaching
I have served as an advisor to state-based advocacy organizations for many years, supporting Executive Directors and leaders in policy, advocacy, and organizing teams. I have also coached junior and mid-level advocacy staff to grow in their work and leadership. I am available for:
- Office Hours to advise on individual projects
- Ongoing coaching or advising relationships
